My Story
I walked into a cloud of dragonflies and came out seeing the world differently.
I was at Hamilton Marsh, the air was alive with them, hundreds flickering through the reeds, catching the sunlight, turning the whole marsh into something humming and almost surreal. One landed gently on my hand, and I stood there in disbelief, trying not to move. It felt so magical that my family came back to witness it for themselves.
I’ve been drawing dragonflies ever since. In many ways, they became a personal symbol of wonder, transformation, and the living magic that can still stop us in our tracks.
Coming to art seriously in midlife, after a life-altering health journey, I found myself returning to that feeling again and again. My paintings grow from a desire to capture what that moment gave me: calm, awe, beauty, and a deep sense of connection to something larger and alive. Through wildlife, I try to offer that feeling back to others, an invitation to slow down, breathe, and remember their own belonging to the natural world.
I hope you find artwork here that resonates deeply and brings lasting beauty, meaning, and joy to your space for years to come.
